मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-27, verse-13

कामः क्रोधश्च लोभश्च मदो मानस्तथैव च ।
हर्षश्च शत्रवो ह्येते विनाशाय महीभृताम् ॥१३॥
13. kāmaḥ krodhaśca lobhaśca mado mānastathaiva ca .
harṣaśca śatravo hyete vināśāya mahībhṛtām.

13. Desire, anger, greed, arrogance, pride, and also excessive joy—these are indeed the enemies that lead to the ruin of kings.
