महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-39, verse-31

तथा वस्त्राण्यलंकारं भक्ष्यं पेयं च शोभनम् ।
अददान्मुदितो राजन्पूजयित्वा द्विजोत्तमान् ॥३१॥
31. tathā vastrāṇyalaṁkāraṁ bhakṣyaṁ peyaṁ ca śobhanam ,
adadānmudito rājanpūjayitvā dvijottamān.
31. tathā vastrāṇi alaṃkāram bhakṣyam peyam ca śobhanam
adadāt muditaḥ rājan pūjayitvā dvijottamān
31. rājan! tathā vastrāṇi alaṃkāram śobhanam bhakṣyam
peyam ca muditaḥ dvijottamān pūjayitvā adadāt
31. O King, he joyfully bestowed garments, ornaments, and excellent food and drink, after having honored the best of Brahmins (dvija).
