महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-64, verse-15

धनूंषि तेषामिषुधीन्हयान्ध्वजान्रथांश्च सूतांश्च धनंजयः शरैः ।
समं च चिच्छेद पराभिनच्च ताञ्शरोत्तमैर्द्वादशभिश्च सूतजम् ॥१५॥
15. dhanūṁṣi teṣāmiṣudhīnhayāndhvajā;nrathāṁśca sūtāṁśca dhanaṁjayaḥ śaraiḥ ,
samaṁ ca ciccheda parābhinacca tā;ñśarottamairdvādaśabhiśca sūtajam.
15. dhanūṃṣi teṣām iṣudhīn hayān dhvajān
rathān ca sūtān ca dhanaṃjayaḥ śaraiḥ
samam ca ciccheda parābhinat ca
tān śarottamaiḥ dvādaśabhiḥ ca sūtajam
15. dhanaṃjayaḥ śaraiḥ teṣām dhanūṃṣi
iṣudhīn hayān dhvajān rathān ca sūtān
ca samam ciccheda ca dvādaśabhiḥ
śarottamaiḥ tān ca sūtajam parābhinat
15. Dhanaṃjaya (Arjuna), with his arrows, simultaneously cut down their bows, quivers, horses, banners, and chariots, as well as their charioteers. Moreover, with twelve excellent arrows, he pierced them and also the son of the charioteer (Karṇa).
