महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-16, verse-35

सपताका ध्वजाः पेतुर्विशीर्णा इव पर्वताः ।
पत्तिभिश्च समाप्लुत्य द्विरदाः स्यन्दनास्तथा ॥३५॥
35. sapatākā dhvajāḥ peturviśīrṇā iva parvatāḥ ,
pattibhiśca samāplutya dviradāḥ syandanāstathā.

35. Banners with their flags fell like shattered mountains. Similarly, elephants and chariots, having been overwhelmed by foot-soldiers, also collapsed.
