महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-11, verse-29

संजय उवाच ।
सान्तरं तु प्रतिज्ञाते राज्ञो द्रोणेन निग्रहे ।
गृहीतं तममन्यन्त तव पुत्राः सुबालिशाः ॥२९॥
29. saṁjaya uvāca ,
sāntaraṁ tu pratijñāte rājño droṇena nigrahe ,
gṛhītaṁ tamamanyanta tava putrāḥ subāliśāḥ.
29. sañjaya uvāca sa-antaram tu pratijñāte rājñaḥ droṇena
nigrahe gṛhītam tam amanyanta tava putrāḥ su-bāliśāḥ
29. sañjaya uvāca: tu rājñaḥ nigrahe droṇena sa-antaram pratijñāte (sati),
tava su-bāliśāḥ putrāḥ tam gṛhītam amanyanta
29. Sañjaya said: But when the king's capture was thus declared by Droṇa with a pause, your very foolish sons considered him already seized.
