महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-109, verse-9

स निर्भिद्य रणे पार्थं सूतपुत्रधनुश्च्युतः ।
अगच्छद्दारयन्भूमिं चित्रपुङ्खः शिलीमुखः ॥९॥
9. sa nirbhidya raṇe pārthaṁ sūtaputradhanuścyutaḥ ,
agacchaddārayanbhūmiṁ citrapuṅkhaḥ śilīmukhaḥ.

agacchat dārayan bhūmim citrapuṅkhaḥ śilīmukhaḥ

9. That arrow (śilīmukha) with painted fletching, having sprung from the bow of Sūtaputra (Karṇa), pierced Pārtha (Arjuna) on the battlefield, and then continued, tearing into the earth.
