महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-4, verse-2

पुनरेवाब्रवीद्वाक्यं कालवादी महातपाः ।
असंशयं पार्थिवेन्द्र कालः संक्षिपते जगत् ॥२॥
2. punarevābravīdvākyaṁ kālavādī mahātapāḥ ,
asaṁśayaṁ pārthivendra kālaḥ saṁkṣipate jagat.

2. Again, the great ascetic (tapasvin), who spoke about the power of time, uttered these words: 'O chief of kings, undoubtedly, Time consumes the universe.'
