महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-192, verse-15

दैवं हि मानुषोपेतं भृशं सिध्यति पार्थिव ।
परस्परविरोधात्तु नानयोः सिद्धिरस्ति वै ॥१५॥
15. daivaṁ hi mānuṣopetaṁ bhṛśaṁ sidhyati pārthiva ,
parasparavirodhāttu nānayoḥ siddhirasti vai.
15. daivam hi mānuṣopetam bhṛśam sidhyati pārthiva
parasparavirodhāt tu na anayoḥ siddhiḥ asti vai
15. pārthiva daivam hi mānuṣopetam bhṛśam sidhyati
tu parasparavirodhāt anayoḥ siddhiḥ na asti vai
15. O king, indeed, divine intervention, when accompanied by human effort, is highly successful. But from their mutual opposition, there is certainly no success for these two.
