महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-64, verse-5

उत्तर उवाच ।
अकार्यं ते कृतं राजन्क्षिप्रमेव प्रसाद्यताम् ।
मा त्वा ब्रह्मविषं घोरं समूलमपि निर्दहेत् ॥५॥

akāryaṁ te kṛtaṁ rājankṣiprameva prasādyatām ,
mā tvā brahmaviṣaṁ ghoraṁ samūlamapi nirdahet.

5. uttaraḥ uvāca akāryam te kṛtam rājan kṣipram eva
prasādyatām mā tvā brahmaviṣam ghoram samūlam api nirdhet

5. Uttara said, "O King, you have done an improper thing. He must be appeased immediately, lest the terrible curse (brahmaviṣam) of a brahmin consume you completely, even from your very roots."
