उत्तर उवाच ।
अकार्यं ते कृतं राजन्क्षिप्रमेव प्रसाद्यताम् ।
मा त्वा ब्रह्मविषं घोरं समूलमपि निर्दहेत् ॥५॥

akāryaṁ te kṛtaṁ rājankṣiprameva prasādyatām ,
mā tvā brahmaviṣaṁ ghoraṁ samūlamapi nirdahet.

Uttara said, "O King, you have done an improper thing. He must be appeased immediately, lest the terrible curse (brahmaviṣam) of a brahmin consume you completely, even from your very roots."
