महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-4, chapter-22, verse-8

पराक्रमं तु सूतानां मत्वा राजान्वमोदत ।
सैरन्ध्र्याः सूतपुत्रेण सह दाहं विशां पते ॥८॥
8. parākramaṁ tu sūtānāṁ matvā rājānvamodata ,
sairandhryāḥ sūtaputreṇa saha dāhaṁ viśāṁ pate.

sairandhryāḥ sūtaputreṇa saha dāham viśām pate
8. O lord of men, the king, having considered the might of the charioteers, consented to the burning of Sairandhrī along with the charioteer's son.
