महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-69, verse-19

ततो नरवरः श्रीमान्नलो राजा विशां पते ।
सान्त्वयामास तानश्वांस्तेजोबलसमन्वितान् ॥१९॥
19. tato naravaraḥ śrīmānnalo rājā viśāṁ pate ,
sāntvayāmāsa tānaśvāṁstejobalasamanvitān.

19. O lord of people, then the glorious King Nala, the best among men, consoled those horses, which were endowed with brilliance and strength.
