महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-3, verse-7

क्षेत्रभूते ततस्तस्मिन्नोषधीरोषधीपतिः ।
दिवस्तेजः समुद्धृत्य जनयामास वारिणा ॥७॥
7. kṣetrabhūte tatastasminnoṣadhīroṣadhīpatiḥ ,
divastejaḥ samuddhṛtya janayāmāsa vāriṇā.

divas tejaḥ samuddhṛtya janayāmāsa vāriṇā
7. Then, after the earth had become a suitable field, the moon (oṣadhīpati), the lord of herbs, drew out energy from the heavens and, with water, caused the plants to grow.
