महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-3, verse-3

परित्यक्तुं न शक्नोमि दानशक्तिश्च नास्ति मे ।
कथमत्र मया कार्यं भगवांस्तद्ब्रवीतु मे ॥३॥
3. parityaktuṁ na śaknomi dānaśaktiśca nāsti me ,
kathamatra mayā kāryaṁ bhagavāṁstadbravītu me.
3. parityaktum na śaknomi dānaśaktiḥ ca na asti me
| katham atra mayā kāryam bhagavān tat bravītu me
3. I am unable to abandon it, and I do not possess the power (śakti) of giving (dāna). Therefore, revered one, please tell me how I should act in this situation.
