Having worshipped the sun god (divākara) with offerings of flowers and other tributes, the righteous king (dharmātmā), embodying spiritual discipline (yoga), subsisting on air, and having complete control over his senses, stood, after touching the Ganges water, practicing breath control (prāṇāyāma).
