महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-278, verse-17

नारद उवाच ।
साङ्कृते रन्तिदेवस्य स शक्त्या दानतः समः ।
ब्रह्मण्यः सत्यवादी च शिबिरौशीनरो यथा ॥१७॥
17. nārada uvāca ,
sāṅkṛte rantidevasya sa śaktyā dānataḥ samaḥ ,
brahmaṇyaḥ satyavādī ca śibirauśīnaro yathā.
17. nāradaḥ uvāca | sāṅkṛteḥ ranti-devasya saḥ śaktyā dānataḥ
samaḥ | brāhmaṇyaḥ satya-vādī ca śibiḥ auśīnaraḥ yathā
17. Nārada said, "He is equal to Sāṅkṛti and Rantideva in might (śakti) and in generosity (dāna); he is respectful of Brahmins and truthful, just like Śibi Auśīnara."
