महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-99, verse-6

धर्मस्यार्थस्य कामस्य फलमाहुर्मनीषिणः ।
तडागं सुकृतं देशे क्षेत्रमेव महाश्रयम् ॥६॥
6. dharmasyārthasya kāmasya phalamāhurmanīṣiṇaḥ ,
taḍāgaṁ sukṛtaṁ deśe kṣetrameva mahāśrayam.

taḍāgam sukṛtam deśe kṣetram eva mahāśrayam
6. manīṣiṇaḥ āhuḥ [yat] deśe sukṛtam taḍāgam dharmasya arthasya kāmasya [ca] phalam eva mahāśrayam kṣetram [ca asti].
6. The wise declare that a well-constructed pond in a locality is the fruit of natural law (dharma), prosperity (artha), and fulfillment of desires (kāma), and indeed a great sanctuary.
