महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-99, verse-17

तडागे यस्य गावस्तु पिबन्ति तृषिता जलम् ।
मृगपक्षिमनुष्याश्च सोऽश्वमेधफलं लभेत् ॥१७॥
17. taḍāge yasya gāvastu pibanti tṛṣitā jalam ,
mṛgapakṣimanuṣyāśca so'śvamedhaphalaṁ labhet.

17. He, in whose pond thirsty cows, wild animals, birds, and humans drink water, obtains the reward of an Aśvamedha (Vedic ritual).
