महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-75, verse-9

उत्सृष्टवृषवत्सा हि प्रदेया सूर्यदर्शने ।
त्रिविधं प्रतिपत्तव्यमर्थवादाशिषः स्तवाः ॥९॥
9. utsṛṣṭavṛṣavatsā hi pradeyā sūryadarśane ,
trividhaṁ pratipattavyamarthavādāśiṣaḥ stavāḥ.

9. Indeed, a cow whose bull-calf has been released should be donated at the sight of the sun. The threefold categories of eulogistic statements (arthavāda), blessings, and hymns of praise should be understood accordingly.
