गा वै दत्त्वा गोव्रती स्यात्त्रिरात्रं निशां चैकां संवसेतेह ताभिः ।

19. Having indeed given cows, one should observe the (govrata) cow-vow. For three nights and for one night, one should dwell with them here. On the auspicious eighth day, a three-night observance should be kept, (using) either cow essences, or cow-dung, or cow-urine.
