महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-75, verse-23

सन्ति लोके श्रद्दधाना मनुष्याः सन्ति क्षुद्रा राक्षसा मानुषेषु ।
येषां दानं दीयमानं ह्यनिष्टं नास्तिक्यं चाप्याश्रयन्ते ह्यपुण्याः ॥२३॥
23. santi loke śraddadhānā manuṣyāḥ; santi kṣudrā rākṣasā mānuṣeṣu ,
yeṣāṁ dānaṁ dīyamānaṁ hyaniṣṭaṁ; nāstikyaṁ cāpyāśrayante hyapuṇyāḥ.

23. There are in the world humans who possess conviction (śraddhā), and there are petty, demon-like beings among people. For these latter, even a gift (dāna) being offered is unwelcome, and indeed, these unrighteous ones also embrace disbelief (nāstikyam).
