महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-75, verse-7

गौर्मे माता गोवृषभः पिता मे दिवं शर्म जगती मे प्रतिष्ठा ।
प्रपद्यैवं शर्वरीमुष्य गोषु मुनिर्वाणीमुत्सृजेद्गोप्रदाने ॥७॥
7. gaurme mātā govṛṣabhaḥ pitā me; divaṁ śarma jagatī me pratiṣṭhā ,
prapadyaivaṁ śarvarīmuṣya goṣu; munirvāṇīmutsṛjedgopradāne.
7. gauḥ me mātā go-vṛṣabhaḥ pitā me
divam śarma jagatī me pratiṣṭhā
| prapadya evam śarvarīm uṣya
goṣu muniḥ vāṇīm utsṛjet go-pradāne
7. The cow is my mother, the bull is my father. Heaven is my welfare, the earth is my foundation. Having thus passed the night staying among the cows, the sage (muni) should utter the appropriate words at the cow donation ceremony.
