महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-8, verse-13

धर्मं संहरते तस्य धनं हरति यस्य यः ।
ह्रियमाणे धने राजन्वयं कस्य क्षमेमहि ॥१३॥
13. dharmaṁ saṁharate tasya dhanaṁ harati yasya yaḥ ,
hriyamāṇe dhane rājanvayaṁ kasya kṣamemahi.
13. dharmam saṃharate tasya dhanam harati yasya yaḥ
| hriyamāṇe dhane rājan vayam kasya kṣamemahi
13. yaḥ yasya dhanam harati,
(saḥ) tasya dharmam saṃharate.

13. Whoever takes away someone's wealth destroys their intrinsic nature (dharma). O king, when wealth is being taken away, whom can we forgive or tolerate?
