They indeed declare that those humans who are ruined by constantly pursuing material gain (artha) without restraint are like animals. Just as greed for material gain (artha) leads to (corrupt) policy, so for this reason, the way of life (āśrama) of the warrior's constitution (kṣatradharma) is superior.
