महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-65, verse-11

यो विकर्मस्थितो विप्रो न स सन्मानमर्हति ।
कर्मस्वनुपयुञ्जानमविश्वास्यं हि तं विदुः ॥११॥
11. yo vikarmasthito vipro na sa sanmānamarhati ,
karmasvanupayuñjānamaviśvāsyaṁ hi taṁ viduḥ.

karmasu anupayuñjānam aviśvāśyam hi tam viduḥ

11. Any brāhmaṇa (vipra) who is engaged in forbidden actions (vikarma) does not deserve respect. Indeed, people consider him untrustworthy who does not apply himself to his prescribed duties (karma).
