महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-25, verse-9

विद्म ते पुरुषव्याघ्र वचनं कुरुनन्दन ।
शृणु मच्च यथा कुर्वन्धर्मान्न च्यवते नृपः ॥९॥
9. vidma te puruṣavyāghra vacanaṁ kurunandana ,
śṛṇu macca yathā kurvandharmānna cyavate nṛpaḥ.
9. vidma te puruṣavyāghra vacanam kurunandana śṛṇu
mat ca yathā kurvan dharmān na cyavate nṛpaḥ
9. puruṣavyāghra kurunandana te vacanam vidma śṛṇu
mat ca yathā nṛpaḥ dharmān kurvan na cyavate
9. O tiger among men, O delight of the Kurus, we know your counsel. Now listen from me how a king, by performing his duties (dharma), does not deviate from natural law (dharma).
