महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-20, verse-1

गान्धार्युवाच ।
अध्यर्धगुणमाहुर्यं बले शौर्ये च माधव ।
पित्रा त्वया च दाशार्ह दृप्तं सिंहमिवोत्कटम् ॥१॥
1. gāndhāryuvāca ,
adhyardhaguṇamāhuryaṁ bale śaurye ca mādhava ,
pitrā tvayā ca dāśārha dṛptaṁ siṁhamivotkaṭam.
1. gāndhārī uvāca adhyardhaguṇam āhuḥ yam bale śaurye ca
mādhava pitrā tvayā ca dāśārha dṛptam siṃham iva utkaṭam
1. gāndhārī uvāca he mādhava he dāśārha yam adhyardhaguṇam bale

1. Gandhari said: 'O Madhava, O Dasharha, they say that he was one and a half times superior in strength and valor. He was fierce and formidable like a proud lion, through his father and through you.'
