महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-15, verse-33

वैशंपायन उवाच ।
ततः परममस्त्रं तदश्वत्थामा भृशातुरः ।
द्वैपायनवचः श्रुत्वा गर्भेषु प्रमुमोच ह ॥३३॥
33. vaiśaṁpāyana uvāca ,
tataḥ paramamastraṁ tadaśvatthāmā bhṛśāturaḥ ,
dvaipāyanavacaḥ śrutvā garbheṣu pramumoca ha.
33. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca tataḥ paramam astram tat aśvatthāmā
bhṛśam āturaḥ dvaipāyana vacaḥ śrutvā garbhṣu pramumoca ha
33. vaiśaṃpāyanaḥ uvāca tataḥ bhṛśam āturaḥ aśvatthāmā dvaipāyana
vacaḥ śrutvā tat paramam astram garbhṣu pramumoca ha
33. Vaiśaṃpāyana said, "Then, that supreme weapon (Brahmāstra), Aśvatthāmā, who was exceedingly distressed, having heard the words of Dvaipāyana (Vyāsa), indeed released it into the wombs."
