महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-15, verse-30

न च रक्षोगणभयं न तस्करभयं तथा ।
एवंवीर्यो मणिरयं न मे त्याज्यः कथंचन ॥३०॥
30. na ca rakṣogaṇabhayaṁ na taskarabhayaṁ tathā ,
evaṁvīryo maṇirayaṁ na me tyājyaḥ kathaṁcana.
30. na ca rakṣaḥ-gaṇa-bhayam na taskara-bhayam tathā
| evam-vīryaḥ maṇiḥ ayam na me tyājyaḥ kathaṃcana
30. ca na rakṣaḥ-gaṇa-bhayam tathā na taskara-bhayam
ayam evam-vīryaḥ maṇiḥ kathaṃcana me na tyājyaḥ
30. Moreover, there is no fear (bhaya) from hordes of Rākṣasas, nor from thieves. This gem (maṇi), possessing such power, must not be given up by me under any circumstances.
