महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-67, verse-8

अष्टावेव समासेन विवाहा धर्मतः स्मृताः ।
ब्राह्मो दैवस्तथैवार्षः प्राजापत्यस्तथासुरः ॥८॥
8. aṣṭāveva samāsena vivāhā dharmataḥ smṛtāḥ ,
brāhmo daivastathaivārṣaḥ prājāpatyastathāsuraḥ.

8. Briefly, eight types of marriages are traditionally recognized as being in accordance with dharma: the Brāhma, Daiva, and likewise the Ārṣa, Prājāpatya, and also the Āsura.
