महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-25, verse-26

सूत उवाच ।
स तच्छ्रुत्वा पितुर्वाक्यं भीमवेगोऽन्तरिक्षगः ।
नखेन गजमेकेन कूर्ममेकेन चाक्षिपत् ॥२६॥
26. sūta uvāca ,
sa tacchrutvā piturvākyaṁ bhīmavego'ntarikṣagaḥ ,
nakhena gajamekena kūrmamekena cākṣipat.
26. sūtaḥ uvāca saḥ tat śrutvā pituḥ vākyam bhīmavegaḥ
antarikṣagaḥ nakhena gajam ekena kūrmam ekena ca ākṣipat
26. Suta said: Having heard his father's command, he (Garuda), who possessed terrible speed and moved through the sky, seized the elephant with one claw and the tortoise with another.
