विषमं पश्यते राजा सर्वथा तमसावृतः ।

7. The king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) regards matters unfairly, being entirely enveloped by darkness (tamas). Dhṛtarāṣṭra, with his extremely perverse intellect, does not perceive the natural law (dharma).
