योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-156, verse-27

न प्रार्थितैषा भवता मोक्षार्थमरिमर्दन ।
प्रार्थितैव त्वया संविदात्मीया शत्रुशान्तये ॥ २७ ॥
na prārthitaiṣā bhavatā mokṣārthamarimardana ,
prārthitaiva tvayā saṃvidātmīyā śatruśāntaye 27
27. na prārthitā eṣā bhavatā mokṣārtham arimardana
prārthitā eva tvayā saṃvidātmīyā śatruśāntaye

27. O vanquisher of foes, this (consciousness) was not sought by you for the sake of liberation (mokṣa). Rather, your own consciousness (saṃvid) was sought by you for the pacification of enemies.
