द्यौरिवर्क्षभरैरासीत्तदासारं भुवस्तलम् ।
विवर्तमानैरभितः कचद्भिर्ज्वलनायुधैः ॥ १२ ॥

12. dyauḥ iva ṛkṣa-bharaiḥ āsīt tadā āsāram bhuvaḥ
talam vivartamānaiḥ abhitaḥ kacadbhiḥ jvalanāyudhaiḥ

12. tadā bhuvaḥ talam ṛkṣa-bharaiḥ dyauḥ iva āsāram
āsīt vivartamānaiḥ abhitaḥ kacadbhiḥ jvalanāyudhaiḥ

12. At that time, the surface of the earth became a torrent, like the sky filled with multitudes of stars, due to the fiery weapons that were revolving and blazing all around.
