योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-43, verse-35

सर्वेषामुत्तमस्थानां सर्वासां चिरसंपदाम् ।
स्वमनोनिग्रहो भूमिर्भूमिः सस्यश्रियामिव ॥ ३५ ॥
sarveṣāmuttamasthānāṃ sarvāsāṃ cirasaṃpadām ,
svamanonigraho bhūmirbhūmiḥ sasyaśriyāmiva 35
35. sarveṣām uttama-sthānām sarvāsām cira-sampadām
sva-mano-nigrahaḥ bhūmiḥ bhūmiḥ sasya-śriyām iva
35. sarveṣām uttama-sthānām,
sarvāsām cira-sampadām,
sva-mano-nigrahaḥ (eva) bhūmiḥ; sasyasriyām bhūmiḥ iva (asti).
35. For all excellent positions and all lasting prosperity, self-control of the mind is the foundation, just as fertile land is the foundation for the abundance of crops.
35. השליטה במחשבותיו של אדם היא הקרקע לכל המצבים הנשגבים ולכל העושר הממושך, כשם שאדמה פורייה היא היסוד לשגשוג היבול.
