योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-5, chapter-43, verse-12

पूर्वमेव बलात्तस्मादाक्रम्येन्द्रियपञ्चकम् ।
अभ्यसन्सर्वयत्नेन चित्तं कुरु विचारवत् ॥ १२ ॥

12. pūrvam eva balāt tasmāt ākramya indriyapañcakam
abhyasan sarvayatnena cittam kuru vicāravat

12. Therefore, having first forcefully subdued the group of five senses, and practicing with all effort, make your mind discerning.
