योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-29, verse-18

शरीरैकार्थिनां तेषां भीतानां मरणादपि ।
अल्पसत्त्वतया मूर्घ्नि कृतमेव परैः पदम् ॥ १८ ॥
śarīraikārthināṃ teṣāṃ bhītānāṃ maraṇādapi ,
alpasattvatayā mūrghni kṛtameva paraiḥ padam 18
18. śarīraikārthinām teṣām bhītānām maraṇāt api
alpasattvatayā mūrdhni kṛtam eva paraiḥ padam
18. śarīraikārthinām maraṇāt api bhītānām teṣām
alpasattvatayā paraiḥ mūrdhni padam kṛtam eva
18. For those who desired only their body, terrified even of death, a step was indeed placed upon their heads by their enemies (paraiḥ) due to their lack of courage (alpasattvatā).
