योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-29, verse-11

आपादमस्तको देहः कथं मे भवतु स्थिरः ।
ममेति तृष्णाकृपणा दीनतां ते समाययुः ॥ ११ ॥
āpādamastako dehaḥ kathaṃ me bhavatu sthiraḥ ,
mameti tṛṣṇākṛpaṇā dīnatāṃ te samāyayuḥ 11
11. āpādamastakaḥ dehaḥ katham me bhavatu sthiraḥ
| mama iti tṛṣṇākṛpaṇāḥ dīnatām te samāyayuḥ ||
11. āpādamastakaḥ dehaḥ me katham sthiraḥ bhavatu
mama iti tṛṣṇākṛpaṇāḥ te dīnatām samāyayuḥ
11. How can my body, from head to toe, be permanent? Pitiful individuals, bound by the possessive thought 'this is mine,' fell into wretchedness.
