वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-3, verse-13

परितुष्टो ऽस्मि ते वत्स कर्मणानेन सुव्रत ।
वरं वृणीष्व भद्रं ते वरार्हस्त्वं हि मे मतः ॥१३॥
13. parituṣṭo'smi te vatsa karmaṇānena suvrata ,
varaṃ vṛṇīṣva bhadraṃ te varārhastvaṃ hi me mataḥ.
13. parituṣṭaḥ asmi te vatsa karmaṇā anena suvrata
varam vṛṇīṣva bhadram te varārhaḥ tvam hi me mataḥ
13. vatsa suvrata anena karmaṇā te parituṣṭaḥ asmi
varam vṛṇīṣva bhadram te hi tvam me varārhaḥ mataḥ
13. O dear child, O ascetic of good vows, I am greatly pleased with you for this act (karma). Choose a boon; may good fortune be yours. Indeed, you are considered by me to be worthy of a boon.
