वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-15, verse-4

ततः प्रहस्तेन तदा सहस्रं निहतं रणे ।
महोदरेण गदया सहस्रमपरं हतम् ॥४॥
4. tataḥ prahastena tadā sahasraṃ nihataṃ raṇe ,
mahodareṇa gadayā sahasramaparaṃ hatam.
