वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-92, verse-9

ततो ऽन्योन्यं सुसंरब्धाव् उभौ तौ रामरावणौ ।
शरान्धकारे समरे नोपालक्षयतां तदा ॥९॥
9. tato'nyonyaṃ susaṃrabdhāv ubhau tau rāmarāvaṇau ,
śarāndhakāre samare nopālakṣayatāṃ tadā.

9. Then, those two, Rama and Ravana, greatly enraged with each other, could not perceive one another in the battle amidst the darkness of arrows.
