वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-6, chapter-92, verse-28

यदा च शस्त्रं नारेभे न व्यकर्षच्छरासनम् ।
नास्य प्रत्यकरोद्वीर्यं विक्लवेनान्तरात्मना ॥२८॥
28. yadā ca śastraṃ nārebhe na vyakarṣaccharāsanam ,
nāsya pratyakarodvīryaṃ viklavenāntarātmanā.

na asya prati akarot vīryam viklaveṇa antarātmanā
28. yadā ca śastram na ārebhe na śarāsanam vyakarṣat
viklaveṇa antarātmanā asya vīryam na prati akarot
28. When he could neither take up a weapon nor draw his bow, he was unable to retaliate with valor, his inner self (antarātman) being distressed.
