वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-38, verse-4

एवं त्वयि न तच्चित्रं भवेद् यत् सौम्य शोभनम् ।
जानाम्यहं त्वां सुग्रीव सततं प्रियवादिनम् ॥४॥
4. evaṃ tvayi na taccitraṃ bhaved yat saumya śobhanam ,
jānāmyahaṃ tvāṃ sugrīva satataṃ priyavādinam.
4. evam tvayi na tat citram bhavet yat saumya śobhanam
| jānāmi aham tvām sugrīva satatam priyavādinam
4. Saumya,
evam tvayi yat śobhanam (asti),
tat citram na bhavet.
Sugrīva,
aham tvām satatam priyavādinam jānāmi.
4. Thus, it is no wonder, O gentle one, that all good things exist in you. I know you, Sugrīva, to be always one who speaks kindly.
