वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-4, chapter-38, verse-11

निमेषान्तरमात्रेण ततस्तैर्हरियूथपैः ।
कोटीशतपरीवारैः कामरूपिभिरावृता ॥११॥
11. nimeṣāntaramātreṇa tatastairhariyūthapaiḥ ,
koṭīśataparīvāraiḥ kāmarūpibhirāvṛtā.
11. nimeṣa antara mātreṇa tataḥ taiḥ hari yūthapaiḥ
koṭī śata parīvāraiḥ kāmarūpibhiḥ āvṛtā
11. tataḥ nimeṣāntaramātreṇa koṭīśataparīvāraiḥ
kāmarūpibhiḥ taiḥ hariyūthapaiḥ āvṛtā
11. Then, in the mere blink of an eye, it (the earth) was completely covered by those monkey leaders, who commanded hundreds of millions in their retinue and could assume any form at will.
