वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-27, verse-7

स सायकैर्दुर्विषहैः सस्फुलिङ्गैरिवाग्निभिः ।
नभश्चकाराविवरं पर्जन्य इव वृष्टिभिः ॥७॥
7. sa sāyakairdurviṣahaiḥ sasphuliṅgairivāgnibhiḥ ,
nabhaścakārāvivaraṃ parjanya iva vṛṣṭibhiḥ.
7. saḥ sāyakaiḥ durviṣahaiḥ sasphuliṅgaiḥ iva agnibhiḥ
nabhaḥ cakāra avivaram parjanyaḥ iva vṛṣṭibhiḥ

7. He (Khara) filled the sky completely with irresistible arrows, which were like fires emitting sparks, just as a rain cloud fills it with showers.
