वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-3, chapter-27, verse-14

ततो ऽस्य सशरं चापं मुष्टिदेशे महात्मनः ।
खरश्चिच्छेद रामस्य दर्शयन्पाणिलाघवम् ॥१४॥
14. tato'sya saśaraṃ cāpaṃ muṣṭideśe mahātmanaḥ ,
kharaściccheda rāmasya darśayanpāṇilāghavam.

kharaḥ ciccheda rāmasya darśayan pāṇilāghavam

14. Then Khara, demonstrating his dexterity, cut the great-souled Rama's bow, which was strung with arrows, at the grip.
