तस्मान्मरीचिः संजज्ञे मरीचेः कश्यपः सुतः ॥४॥

Brahmā, whose origin is from space, is eternal, ever-present, and immutable. From him, Marīci was born, and from Marīci, Kaśyapa was born as a son.
