मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-88, verse-56

ततोऽसावाजघानाथ गदया तत्र चण्डिकाम् ।
न चास्या वेदनां चक्रे गदापातोऽल्पिकामपि ॥५६॥
56. tato'sāvājaghānātha gadayā tatra caṇḍikām .
na cāsyā vedanāṃ cakre gadāpāto'lpikāmapi.
56. tataḥ asau ājaghāna atha gadayā tatra caṇḍikām
na ca asyāḥ vedanām cakre gadāpātaḥ alīpikām api
56. Then he (Raktābīja) struck Caṇḍikā there with a mace. But that mace-blow did not cause her even a slight amount of pain.
