मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-88, verse-37

चण्डाट्टहासैरसुराः शिवदूत्यभिदूषिताः ।
पेतुः पृथिव्यां पतितांस्तांश्चखादाथ सा तदा ॥३७॥
37. caṇḍāṭṭahāsairasurāḥ śivadūtyabhidūṣitāḥ .
petuḥ pṛthivyāṃ patitāṃstāṃścakhādātha sā tadā.
37. caṇḍāṭṭahāsaiḥ asurāḥ śivadūtyā abhidūṣitāḥ petuḥ
pṛthvyām patitān tān ca cakhāda atha sā tadā
37. The asuras (demons), defiled by the fierce roars of laughter from Shivadūtī, fell to the earth. She then devoured those who had fallen.
