इत्युक्त्वा तां ततो देवी शूलेनाभिजघान तम् ।
मुखेन काली जगृहे रक्तबीजस्य सोणितम् ॥५५॥

ityuktvā tāṃ tato devī śūlenābhijaghāna tam .
mukhena kālī jagṛhe raktabījasya soṇitam.

The sage said: Having spoken thus to her, the Goddess then struck him (Raktābīja) with her spear. Meanwhile, Kālī received Raktābīja's blood with her mouth.
