महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-36, verse-35

पीत्वा च शोणितं तत्र वसां पीत्वा च भारत ।
मेदोमज्जावसातृप्तास्तृप्ता मांसस्य चैव हि ।
धावमानाश्च दृश्यन्ते काकगृध्रबलास्तथा ॥३५॥
35. pītvā ca śoṇitaṁ tatra vasāṁ pītvā ca bhārata ,
medomajjāvasātṛptāstṛptā māṁsasya caiva hi ,
dhāvamānāśca dṛśyante kākagṛdhrabalāstathā.

35. O Bhārata, having drunk blood there and also having drunk fat, they were sated with marrow, fat, and grease, and indeed thoroughly satisfied with flesh; hosts of crows and vultures were also seen running about.
